According to research by the Association of British Insurers (AIB), it found that while the average personal injury claim following a road accident was £2,430, insurers had to pay a further £2,100 in legal fees.

Uninsured Drivers – The Moneysupermarket car insurance team investigated the impact the number of uninsured drivers have on the motor insurance industry. It found that it costs the industry £500 million each year and adds £30 to every driver’s premium.
